SUMMARY:Want to Foster or Adopt? Start With This Free Virtual Class
DESCRIPTION:Nearly 6\,000 Kansas children and teens need foster families to open their hearts and homes. It only takes ONE caring adult to change a child’s life. How about you? \nOne of the first and most important steps to become a licensed foster or adoptive parent is to complete MAPP Foundations training (Model Approach to Partnerships in Parenting). This class prepares you to care for a child who has experienced trauma and helps you build many other skills in your journey to become a foster or adoptive parent. MAPP also aids you in determining if fostering or adopting is right for you. \nKVC Kansas offers this course at no cost to you. Classes will be held virtually once a week on Tuesdays from 6-9pm. Class starts January 21\, 2025 and ends March 25\, 2025. Class size is limited so reach out to us today! \nTrainings can fill quickly so please reach out soon if you’re interested.
