In previous years\, the event has been approved by the National Association of Social Workers for 11 hours. The Empowered to Connect Conference and Simulcast has been approved by the National Board of Certified Counselors for NBCC credit. Show Hope is responsible for all aspects of the program (NBCC Approval Number SP-2801).  \nOne change in 2017 is that the National Association of Social Workers now considers the simulcast a distance learning event. This classification will require professionals desiring credit from NASW to complete a posttest after attending the conference. Additional details will be sent to registered professionals and they must indicate they would like to pursue this option when registering.  \nEach professional interested in receiving hours and a professional certificate is required to register and pay a separate fee.

DESCRIPTION:KVC and Firstline CPR have teamed up for a CPR AED course which is designed to teach the lay rescuer (non-healthcare profession) how to recognize the warning signs of a heart attack and how to effectively perform CPR on an adult\, child or infant in cardiac arrest. You will also learn how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED). \nThere are only 20 seats available\, so PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. This is an optional class and is not required by KVC.
