These classes are designed to prepare you to care for a child who may have experienced trauma and to provide you with many other supportive skills in your journey as a foster or adoptive parent. \nThis course is offered over two weekends\, with one weekend off between classes. KVC Kansas offers the training at no cost to participants. \nClass size is limited. This course can now be attended and completed in two weekends! This training is offered at no cost to participants. \nClass size is limited\, so please call or email the organizer listed below for more details. The next TIPS-MAPP classes are listed below. The training is offered by KVC at no cost to participants.  The class will be offered at Fellowship West- 303 S. Bluegrass Dr\, Bonner Springs\, Kansas\, 66012. \n\nOctober 6 8:00\, AM – 4:30 PM Lunch will be provided\nOctober 7 1:00\, PM – 7:00 PM (snacks will be provided)\n\nThese classes are mandatory and must be completed before you may be considered for placement of children through foster care or adoption.  Both parents must attend if there are two parents involved.  Any person 18 years or older who lives in the home and shares parenting responsibilities must be MAPP trained. Participants MUST attend all sessions in order to complete the course. Home visits will still be completed in the 3 week span. \nChildcare is provided but space is limited.
