DESCRIPTION:One of the first and most important steps to becoming a licensed foster or adoptive parent is to complete TIPS-MAPP classes (Trauma Informed Partnering for Safety and Permanence – Model Approach to Partnerships in Parenting). These classes are designed to prepare you to care for a child who may have experienced trauma and to provide you with many other supportive skills in your journey as a foster or adoptive parent. \nThis course is offered 2x/week for 5 weeks\, and KVC Kansas offers the training at no cost to participants. \nClass size is limited. Please call or email the organizer listed below for more details and to reserve your seat. \nAll classes are taught from 6pm – 9pm.
