It only takes ONE caring adult to change a child’s life. How about you? \nOne of the first and most important steps to become a licensed foster or adoptive parent is to complete TIPS-MAPP training (Trauma-Informed Partnering for Safety and Permanence – Model Approach to Partnerships in Parenting). This class prepares you to care for a child who has experienced trauma and helps you build many other skills in your journey to become a foster or adoptive parent. TIPS-MAPP also aids you in determining if fostering or adopting is right for you. \nKVC Kansas offers this course at no cost to you. Classes will be held in-person in Topeka from 6-9pm every Wednesday.
