DESCRIPTION:The next TIPS-MAPP (Trauma Informed Partnering for Safety and Permanence – Model Approach to Partnerships in Parenting) classes are scheduled to begin on Tuesday\, February 28\, 2017 with Meeting 1. The informational session will be on Wednesday\, February 15\, 2017.  All of the classes will be on Tuesdays. KVC Behavioral HealthCare offers the training at no cost to participants.  The class will be at KVC\, 1211 North 8th Street\, Kansas City\, KS 66101.  It is helpful if you call to confirm your plans to attend\, but not necessary.  Class size is limited\, so please call early.  The sessions will be as follows: \n\nWed.\, February 15   Information Night        6:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M.\nFebruary 28               Meeting # 1                6:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M.\nMarch 7                     Meeting # 2                6:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M.\nMarch 14                   Meeting # 3                6:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M.\nMarch 21                   Meeting # 4                6:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M.\nMarch 28                   Meeting # 5                6:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M\nApril 4                        Meeting # 6                6:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M.\nApril 11                      Meeting # 7                6:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M.\nApril 18                      Meeting # 8                6:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M.\nApril 25                      Meeting # 9                6:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M.\nMay 2                         Meeting # 10             6:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M.\n\nThese classes are mandatory and must be completed before you may be considered for placement of children through foster care or adoption.  Both parents must attend if there are two parents involved.  Any person 18 years or older who lives in the home and shares parenting responsibilities must be MAPP trained.
