- About Us
Children and teens belong with their own families whenever possible. KVC works to safely reintegrate hundreds of families each year by providing parenting skills training, therapy and other support.
Caring People Needed
On any given day, KVC Kansas provides out-of-home care for thousands of youth. Relatives, non-related kin like teachers and neighbors, and foster families are all critical to providing temporary care for these children and teens.

Your Help Matters
There are many large and small ways you can still lend a hand. Regardless of your size of gift, know that each caring touch makes a big difference in the lives of others.
What type of Resource Family Conference are you interested in?
Traditionally KVC has hosted a Resource Family Conference where all KVC homes are invited to Kansas City to stay in a hotel on Friday night (with dinner) and receive CEUs on Saturday. We also provide childcare while families receive training hours (5.5 hours total). This year we would love to bring this back to our homes, but we would like your thoughts on what you would enjoy more. This year the event will be held in Fall of 2022.
Here are options we are offering for this year:
- Option 1 – Traditional RFC
Hotel rooms (for out-of-town homes), Friday night dinner, keynote speaker on Saturday and breakout sessions with childcare provided. 5.5 training hours offered.
- Option 2 – Enjoy a Fun Weekend On Us
An appreciation event without training hours offered – hotel rooms (for out-of-town homes), Friday night dinner and a free day at the zoo with your family on Saturday. KVC will also provide admission to the zoo and lunch.
- Option 3 – I’m not interested in attending the RFC
