Jackie Harwig

Jackie Harwig serves as the Director of Community Engagement at KVC Kansas, where she leads a dedicated team of Community Resource Specialists, foster parent recruiters and licensing staff who connect caring adults with youth in need of support. With more than 18 years of experience in the mental health and child welfare field, she brings both professional expertise and deep personal commitment to KVC’s mission of ensuring every child and family feels safe and connected.
She began her career with KVC as a Family Support Worker, supporting youth aging out of care. This experience shaped her lifelong dedication to helping children, teens and families build lasting stability and connection. For the past 14 years, she has led community engagement efforts across Kansas, fostering strong partnerships and expanding the network of foster parents who make healing possible for youth every day.
A proud graduate of Pittsburg State University, Jackie holds a bachelor’s degree in Family and Individual Management with a minor in Psychology. Her leadership reflects KVC’s values of compassion, collaboration and growth, creating an environment where both staff and families feel supported and empowered.
