Families First
Children and teens belong with their own families whenever possible. KVC works to safely reunify hundreds of families each year by providing parenting skills training, therapy and other support.
Caring People Needed
On any given day, KVC Kansas provides out-of-home care for thousands of children and teens. Relatives, non-related kin like teachers and neighbors, and foster parents are all critical to providing temporary care for these children and teens. See how you can make a difference as a foster parent.

2023 Resource Family Conference

KVC Kansas invites you and your family to our in-person 2023 Resource Family Conference! This unique, FREE family experience is open to all KVC-supported resource families and will take place August 25–26, 2023 at the Sheraton in Overland Park, KS. This event is a one-of-a-kind training opportunity for KVC foster, adoptive and kinship families caring for children and teens experiencing foster care. Plus, we’re back fully in-person for the FIRST TIME since 2018!
Attendees learn from child and family experts, receive continuing education trainings, and network with other resource families to create an invaluable support network. While parents and caregivers participate in trainings, youth enjoy fun, age-appropriate activities. You don’t want to miss this!
What’s a Resource Family?
Resource families include foster parents, adoptive parents, and kinship caregivers who support kids and teens.
Registration closed July 26. We’ll see you soon!
