Caring People Needed
On any given day, KVC Kansas provides out-of-home care for thousands of children and teens. Relatives, non-related kin like teachers and neighbors, and foster parents are all critical to providing temporary care for these children and teens. See how you can make a difference as a foster parent.

About KVC Kansas
KVC Kansas is a private, nonprofit organization that serves over 12,000 children, teens and adults each year. Our team of caring professionals provides family strengthening and foster care prevention services, foster care case management, family reunification services, foster family recruitment and support, kinship care, adoption, aftercare, outpatient therapy and more.
We envision a world in which every person is safe and connected to a strong family and a healthy community.

Hairtage Day
KVC Kansas is proud to partner with The Walker Foundation to host Hairtage Day on Sunday, June 11th in Kansas City, Kansas! This event is open to all foster and adoptive families. Hairtage Day offers FREE children’s textured hair styling services such as braiding and other types of hair care, as well as caregiver training, massages and self-care stations. Snacks provided.
Registration instructions:
Families can register at https://thewalkerfoundation.org/walker-hair-fair-registration/. To complete your family’s registration, click Sunday, June 11 on the calendar and then fill out the form. After you submit your registration, Walker Foundation will reach out to confirm your time and any other information they may need in regard to the style of your child’s hair. Exact event location will be given out when registration is confirmed.
