Schools Ask KVC Kansas to Provide On-Site Therapy

KVC helps children and families in their natural environments rather than in an office because research shows it is more effective. Now, in addition to receiving therapy and other support in their own homes, many children are beginning to receive vital help at school.

After receiving training on how childhood traumatic stress affects student behavior, the Parsons, Kan. public school district partnered with KVC to have a therapist on-site at their schools.

For the last year, KVC therapist Phil Toniger, LCP has been working on-site to help the students KVC serves. With Phil now in the school and working closely with school psychologist Jennifer Tavernaro, he is able to help the students as well as the staff with behavior caused by trauma.
