Mark your calendars for the next Totally FAB (Foster, Adoptive and Biological Kids) Night on May 2, at Church of the Resurrection East building located at 135^th and Roe. Pizza will be served at 6:30pm and the parents will then be excused to another room to hear a speaker while children are entertained by child care volunteers. Meeting time runs from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.and CEU’s will be given for attendance.

There will be a panel of speakers who will address child welfare in Kansas and Missouri including the foster parent bill of rights. Guest speakers include:

• Lori Ross, President and CEO of MFCAA. Lori has been a foster/adoptive parent since 1985. She and her husband have fostered over 400 children and are parents of 26.
• Saundra Hiller,  Executive Director of KFAPA. Saundra and her husband fostered for five years and have adopted three children. She is a LMSW and has worked as a medical social worker and case manager.
• Joni Hiatt, Kansas Director of Programs for MFCAA. Joni has fostered over 130 children in over 22 years.
• Dereik Domerese, Family Support and Retention Specialist at MFCAA. Dereik is also a foster and adoptive provider.
