KVC to Host Celebration For Families Reintegrating Children From Foster Care

KVC Behavioral Health Systems, Inc. will host the Families United Picnic to honor families who have successfully completed reintegration of their children from foster care. The event will be on June 20 from 6-8 p.m. in Antioch Park, 6501 Antioch Road, Merriam, KS.

The picnic will feature face painting, balloon animals, family photos will be taken and a scavenger hunt in addition to dinner at 6:30 p.m. After, prizes for the scavenger hunt and drawings will be awarded.

KVC will honor Beyond Barriers Translation Services for their commitment and generosity to their clients with a plaque.

To celebrate the families’ accomplishments, judges and attorneys from Wyandotte and Leavenworth Counties will be in attendance.

“The families we are celebrating have demonstrated a commitment to improving the safety and well-being of their children and their family as a whole,” said Angela Ryan, KVC Permanency Supervisor. “They have traveled a challenging road and have embraced the supports available to them. KVC is honored to have played a role in reunifying these children with their family.”

The picnic also coincides with National Reunification Month in June. For more information, contact Emily Gairns at 913-322-4994.
