Families First
Children and teens belong with their own families whenever possible. KVC works to safely reunify hundreds of families each year by providing parenting skills training, therapy and other support.
Caring People Needed
On any given day, KVC Kansas provides out-of-home care for thousands of children and teens. Relatives, non-related kin like teachers and neighbors, and foster parents are all critical to providing temporary care for these children and teens. See how you can make a difference as a foster parent.

The Holidays Shine Brighter with You

By becoming a Holiday Hero, you’re making sure children in foster care, youth who have safely reunified with their families and those who’ve been adopted experience the joy of the season with gifts they’ve been wishing for. Every year, Holiday Heroes grows thanks to people like you. To make giving simple and impactful, we’ve made a few updates to the process this season.
This Year’s Giving Details:

Deadline: All gifts and donations are due by Monday, December 8.
-
Sponsorship Options: You can choose to shop for an individual child or adopt an entire family. When sponsoring a family, you’ll select from ranges like 2–4 members or 4–6 members so we can match you more easily.
-
Clear Choices: We’ve made the process simpler so you’ll know exactly whether you’re supporting a child or a family.
Ways to Give:
-
Shop for a child or family using a personalized wish list.
-
Donate gift cards or funds and let our “elves” handle the shopping for you.
