KVC Youth Invited to Big Game James
Take me out to the ballgame and what a great evening it was! On Friday evening, July 25, more than 70 children, foster parents and staff enjoyed a tour of the Kansas City Royals Hall of Fame, an autograph session and a winning game. Everyone enjoyed Papa John’s pizza and soda during the game.
This exciting game included Billy Butler’s pinch two-run homer with two outs in the eighth inning for the Royals’ 6-4 victory over the Cleveland Indians for their fourth straight win.
This wonderful evening will be remembered whenever the children wear their t-shirts and sunglasses and use their baseball shaped drawstring bags.
Thank you, James Shields, the Kansas City Royals and KCP&L for a memorable experience.
