For Kyle and Carol, the decision to become foster parents was an easy one and led them to a bigger calling of adoption.

Following tradition, many judges open their courthouse on the weekend before Thanksgiving to complete adoptions and bring smiles to the faces of children and adults alike. In total this November, nonprofit KVC Kansas is helping to facilitate the adoptions of nearly sixty children in the Kansas City area, Topeka and other parts of eastern Kansas.

November is National Adoption Month. KVC is working with judges and others to facilitate the adoptions of more than 60 Kansas children.

Casi and Andy struggled with the decision to move forward in adopting 9-year-old Matthew, but they knew they were supposed to bring him into their family after Andy received a sign.
