Smiles Change Lives hosted local foster families to a free screening of the movie Star Wars: The Force Awakens on December 21, 2015 at AMC Olathe 28. Thanks to the generous donation of the theater from AMC, as well as several other major sponsors, Smiles Change Lives was able to offer free admission to over 170 children currently in foster care and their foster families.

Smiles Change Lives is an international nonprofit organization that provides access to orthodontic treatment for children whose families cannot afford the full cost of braces. Since its inception in 1997, Smiles Change Lives has helped over 8,000 children, including children KVC serves, achieve healthy, confident smiles. The program is now in all 50 states including Canada and partners with over 750 orthodontists to provide qualified families with access to orthodontic care for their children.
